How to choose the correct microblading artist?

The world of permanent makeup has seen the biggest evolution yet with new techniques and tools. The new technique of microblading has revolutionized the world with its distinct characteristic of recreating the impression of real hair strokes in the eyebrow area. There are other options like PowderBrows or combo brows but these techniques are achieved using a tattoo machine and have different results than microblading. What makes microblading so marvelous and unique is the natural looking results that are only posible with quality pigments and manual tool.

Pigments

A microblading artist must use pigments made to be used on the face and not the body. These pigments are made to be better absorbed by the skin and the don’t change colors after healing. Quality pigments will not turn gray, blue or pink. Another main factor to consider with pigments is the ingredients. You don’t want anything that will contain metals or any substance that are harmful to the body.

Tool

Another important factor is that a microblading artist inly uses a manual tool (not a machine) to draw every stroke to mimic hair strokes and recreate the natural anatomy of the eyebrows. Results will look the most natural if the artist uses the thinest blade posible.

Ideal eyebrow shape

One of the mosts important factors is the shape that the artist gives to your eyebrows. It is very important that your artist don’t use a general measurement, we are all different and it is very important for the artist to take in consideration your facial measurements in order to create the perfect shape for you.

Hygene

Last but no least is hygiene. For me hygiene is the most important factor of all. Many people don’t consider this to be a must. Hygene in a microblading studio goes beyond common cleanliness. It is important that your artist uses a disposable tool and blade with every clients. Why is this? If an artist uses a reusable tool there can be chances that these tools are not being properly sterilized because this tool is not protected or covered with anything and is in direct contact with blood. The only way to properly sterilize these tools is using a steam autoclave which can cost thousands of dollars.

Not all microblading artist work the same or use the same materials and products, thats why it is so important to meet your artist, their technique, products and let them show you your perfect eyebrow shape.

After Care

The post treatment care is the most important part of your microblading procedure. The color retention, and life of your microblading will depend on the care you give to your eyebrows. With this being said it is very important you follow the after care instructions to a T.

Post Treatment Care

30 minutes after the treatment rinse the eyebrows with neutral soap. This can be… Remove all the lymph and previously applied cream by doing so. After that apply a very thin layer of Skin Candy. Repeat this procedure 3-5 times during the day. If the treatment was done late in the afternoon and you do not have time to do this 3-5 time it is important to put a plastic wrap over ht eyebrows your previously applied the cream on, so that you protect the eyebrows from drying and wiping overnight.

In the next 7 days, maintain facial higgle and apply the cream after washing your face or having a shower. Skin Candy can be used on all skin types, due to its natural active components that regulate oiling.

What is to be avoided?

During the first 7 days avoid all facial products in the eyebrow area. Avoid workouts that involve a lot of sweating, sauna, facial massage and steaming.

In the next 30 days

Avoid sunbathing, solarium, light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. Always avoid laser treatments over the treated area because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns. The use of antibiotics and hormonal therapy can lead to a faster pigment fading. Always protect the eyebrow from the sun with SPF (not during the first 7 days)

Remember that the quality of the work will depend on the after care so make sure you follow it.

Have you seen perfect eyebrows and wished you were as lucky? Well lets say you are lucky to be living in this new era in eyebrows permanent makeup. The permanent makeup industry has come a long way from those block looking eyebrows from the past and those not so attractive eyeliner shapes. Microblading is the newest technique in the cosmetic permanent makeup. Microblading is a procedure in which the artist draws thin hair like strokes to simulate the natural hair. hair growth making your eyebrows fuller and natural looking.

Microblading must follow many strict rules to obtain quality work. There are many factors that contribute to quality and professional work such as depth, pigment quality, correct stroke filling, correct color selection, eyebrow frame shape, and after care instructions.

Let’s start with depth! A microblading artist uses a manual tool to draw hair like strokes. The artist has complete control of how deep each stroke is made on the skin. A well trained artist can have the correct depth in the skin. Microblading must not penetrate the second layer of skin, if it does it will have negative outcomes in the results. The pigments will bleed and turn color, it will not have a crisp thin line.

Pigments are one of the most important factors to quality work. The main goal of microblading is to mimic the natural hair and to accomplish this it is very important to have quality and well balanced pigments so it can resemble natural hair color and not turn color with time.

After the artist makes the first set of strokes, the artist must go over each stroke to check the depth and pigment amount in each stroke. The amount of times is determined by the type of skin the client has. This will result in proper healing and color retention.

THE FRAME! Making the frame is so so critical for quality work. There are different methods of measuring and making the eyebrow frame before the microblading procedure. The most effective one is using the Phi method. This will assure that every client has the correct shape for their face.

After care instructions are very very critical to obtain good results. The Phi aftercare instructions have been tested and proven to be the most effective after care intrusions for optimal results.
